Membership

Thank you for considering becoming a member of the Friends of Hell
Wath. Your support is vital to the success of the charity and the work
it undertakes to protect the natural beauty of Hell Wath.

Your membership will run for 16 months initially, taking your through
to August 2023. You will then be invited to renew it annually in
September of each subsequent year.

Members have voting rights at AGMs as well as having the collective
power to appoint and remove Trustees. Members may also stand as a
Trustee in elections at Annual General Meetings.

Members are asked to pay a nominal fee of £5 for their membership.
This can be waived at the discretion of the Trustees in cases of
financial hardship. The income from fees will be used to cover the
administrative costs of the charity. There are no salaries to pay so this
will only include costs such as postag, printing and insurance. Any surplus will
be used to support other agreed project expenses.

If you choose to make an additional donation this will be used
entirely to support the project/activity costs that FOHW undertakes
with its members and volunteers

As a members you will receive communication about, and invitations
to, all events and activities before they are shared with other
supporters of FOHW and the wider Ripon community.
With this letter we have included:

  1. Membership application form (to be returned to FOHW)
  2. Members roles/powers within the Charity
  3. Members and Trustees Code of Conduct
  4. Current Schedule of activities offered by FOHW and The Skell
    Valley Project.

If you have any questions you can contact us via email or by post.
We look forward to your participation, in whatever capacity, in
helping protect and enhance Hell Wath
